ST. LOUIS – The large homeless encampment outside of St. Louis City Hall has another deadline of 10 p.m. Tuesday to move out as the city tries to relocate everyone.This comes after numerous police and EMS calls to the camp for issues including overdoses, seizures, and other medical emergencies.A spokesperson for Mayor Tishaura Jones said they would begin disbanding the encampment Monday night, but that never happened.The mayor’s office postponed the shutdown so outreach workers with the Department of Human Services could try to get individuals into shelters and more permanent housing.The city will now enforce a curfew law that effectively closes the park between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.Police: Person in custody for Webster Groves shooting

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. - One person is in custody Tuesday after a Webster Groves woman was shot the night before while laying on her bed.The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Tuxedo Boulevard, according to Lt. Jillian McCoy, a spokeswoman for the Webster Groves Police Department.The victim was on her bed when she was shot in the arm. She was rushed to a hospital and treated. One of the owners of Wyatts Towing has resigned from a governor-appointed commission that nominates judges to serve in Colorado’s district and county courts amid a state investigation into his business.Troy Porras, who owns the towing giant along with his brother Tony, vacated his post on the 18th Judicial District Nominating Commission “under his own terms” in September, said Conor Cahill, a spokesperson for Gov. Jared Polis, in an email.Porras did not respond to requests for comment.Judicial nominating commissions interview applicants and recommend individuals to the governor when a vacancy occurs for a county or district judgeship. A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for molesting a child multiple times between 2016 and 2020, officials announced Tuesday.The 10 year and eight month sentence of Victor Villanueva Legaria is the maximum he could get after being convicted in July of two felony counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, and one felony count of lewd acts on a child aged 14 or 15.“The jury also found true the special allegations that Legaria took advantage of a position of trust or confidence to commit the offenses and that the victim was particularly vulnerable,” the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.Legaria shared a home with the victim, who was 11 years old when the abuse began.The victim reported the abuse to a family member in 2020 and Oxnard police began investigating, officials said.“I’m glad the court sent the message that child molestation will not be tolerated in Ventura County,” Deputy District Attorney Twyla Atmore. “...Mark Wahlberg 'happy' his family left Los Angeles for Las Vegas

Drunk Driver Arrested after Two-Vehicle Crash Near Bellam BoulevardSAN RAFAEL, CA (October 3, 2023) – An officer was hospitalized early Saturday morning following a DUI crash on Francisco Boulevard.The collision happened around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Francisco Boulevard East and Bellam Boulevard.Based on the police report, a Dodge Dart traveling at a high rate of speed ran past a red light.
