UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Russia plans to hold an informal meeting of the U.N. Security Council in early April on what it said is “the real situation” of Ukrainian children taken to Russia, an issue that has gained the spotlight following the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes related to their abduction.Russia’s U.N. Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia told a news conference Monday that Russia planned the council meeting long before Friday’s announcement by the ICC. CHICAGO — Nursing home workers are sounding the alarm on what they called a matter of public safety: dangerously low staffing levels. WOLF RIVER, Wis. (WFRV) — A husband and wife were found dead inside their central Wisconsin home on Saturday morning, and officials say they have the couple's son in custody.As of Monday morning, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims as husband and wife, 72-year-old David A. Metzig and 71-year-old Jan C. Metzig.David and Jan Metzig owned the Union Star Cheese Factory in Fremont, where they lived just minutes away. INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana lawmakers want more law enforcement officers to carry tourniquets and other medical supplies to slow bleeding. Some agencies, such as the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, have had their officers carry tourniquet kits for years. Sgt. Genae Cook said they've been a vital tool. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One year ago, five separate tornadoes moved through Central Texas causing damage and injuries-- but thankfully no deaths.Jeff Mangum was a storm chaser with Tornado Trackers. WACO, Texas (FOX 44) - Blain Lenoir, 19, received big help to pursue his college career after years of battling Leukemia. Blain was given a $10,000 scholarship through Northwestern Mutual's 2022 Childhood Cancer Survivor program. The scholarship aims to ease the financial burden for families who undergo childhood cancer treatments. Northwestern Mutual Foundation president, Steven Radke says, "Childhood cancer robs children and their families of far too much, and that should not include the opportunity to pursue their dreams of a college degree."Blain was diagnosed with cancer in November 2015. At the time, he was 11 years old playing competitive baseball. What his family thought was a typical baseball tournament turned into a scare. After three games in 24 hours, his family noticed a large bump on the side of his neck. Doctors diagnosed him with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. (NewsNation) — It has been 39 days since Maria Del Carmen Lopez was kidnapped from her home in Pueblo Nuevo, Mexico. Her family has yet to receive any updates from the FBI on the status of the investigation. "It's been a roller coaster for the last 39 days. It definitely seems like we're actually living inside of a nightmare,” said Zonia, Maria's daughter. Ohio State student dead after spring break in Mexico Zonia was alerted by family members in Mexico about her mother's kidnapping. The kidnappers then made contact with Zonia, asking for a bounty for her mother. “It was shocking. It was an actual, it's like your body and your mind. Everything goes into a state that obviously you've never been in.
