SCITUATE – Since practices first resumed in the summer, local football pundits have been pegging Hanover as one of, if not the team to beat, in the vaunted Patriot League. Those who made that prediction have been proven right so far, and the Hawks continued their torrid run Friday night.Senior quarterback Ben Scalzi competed 16-of-22 passes for 325 yards and a whopping five touchdowns, as Hanover (5-0) remained undefeated with a wild 42-28 victory over league rival Scituate.“It’s just a credit to the kids,” said Hanover coach Brian Kelliher. “Honestly, Scituate’s a great team, great program. They do a great job, and our kids just came in and competed. We made some plays when we had to, and fortunately for us we did because they weren’t giving up … I’m proud of our kids and the way they competed. It was just a great game.”For the majority of the opening half, however, the Hawks found themselves being baited into Scituate’s game. The Sailors relied heavily on a ground-and-pound a...Last-second trick play lifts Catholic Memorial over Xaverian, 41-38

SAN DIEGO -- Target announced it is no longer planning on opening its new location on Ninth St and G Street inside a new apartment building in downtown San Diego. “I guess we are in mourning right now because we had been talking for years about bringing Target to downtown, our community and East Village community,” said Jason Wood, Cisterra Development Principal. Target is shuttering plans to open a store inside the new Radian Apartments. “Everything was centered around them initially,” Wood said. Target signed a non-binding term sheet with the building developers, Cisterra, in 2019 and a 1-15-year lease in 2021. The apartments opened in June 2023. But Wood said early on in Target’s construction, Target decided to wait until an October open. Then the retailer pushed back to an early 2024 opening, according to Wood. Wood said the construction work for Target is 95% completed, including bringing in items such as coolers. The retailer announced in a statement to FOX 5: ...Local dentist, ex-office manager plead guilty to Medicare fraud

AUSTIN (KXAN) — In 2013, ESPN wanted to develop a handicapping system similar to the one bookmakers in Las Vegas use to determine spreads and predict how games will go. The Worldwide Leader came up with the Football Power Index, and as far as the Red River Rivalry is concerned, ESPN and Vegas do not agree on who will win.ESPN's FPI gives the Sooners a 54.5% chance of beating Texas, and that's based on ESPN's number crunch of previous scoring data from all teams in FBS. In an explainer of its math equation, ESPN said if Vegas ever published its system, the Vegas data "would likely look quite a lot like FPI."
