ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A crash at the I-90/I-787 junction closed the ramp from I-90 eastbound to traffic around 1 p.m. According to the Albany Police Department, traffic investigators are on scene and those involved appear to only have minor injuries. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two residents of Troy were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Hill Street. Chandler, 28, and Jaryd J. Mims, 21, are facing charges of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of an ammunition device. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Tuesday, Gilberto Velasquez, 38, of the Bronx, was sentenced to 70 months in prison. Velasquez pled guilty to conspiring to traffic heroin and fentanyl from New York City to the Capital Region and for distributing heroin. Velasquez admitted to selling quantities of heroin bags and fentanyl-laced pills to customers in the Capital Region. "Runners" transported the controlled substances via commercial bus lines. 89 grams of heroin and 10 grams of fentanyl were trafficked from New York City to the Capital Region.Velasquez was on parole from a state prison term at that time. In addition to the prison sentence, Velasquez was ordered to serve a 3-year term of supervised release.Filli's opens Express Store in New Lebanon

ST. LOUIS - A woman is hospitalized with critical injuries after she was shot, then reportedly thrown from a car on Interstate 70 during rush hour in St. Louis. The incident unfolded around 5 p.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near Shreve Avenue in north St. Louis. 5-year-old girl shot and killed in Belleville, Illinois Police responded to a call for assistance at that location and noticed a 19-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. The victim told police she was shot by her child's father, and later thrown from a vehicle. Investigators have not disclosed what might have led up to the shooting. The suspect is a 29-year-old man who has not yet been arrested or charged. CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois has had two state flags, one adopted in 1915 and another in 1970.On Monday, Gov. JB Pritzker signed a bill that creates the Illinois Flag Commission with the purpose of exploring the creation of a new state flag.The commission will develop new flag designs and make recommendations to the General Assembly regarding whether the current state flag should be replaced.The commission must select no more than 10 potential flag designs by September 2024 and report to the General Assembly by December 2024, the law says."Throughout our 205-year history, Illinois has boasted two official state flags—and it may be time we create a new one that exemplifies the values of our great state,” said Pritzker. “Today, I am proud to sign SB1818 to establish the Illinois Flag Commission to aid us in this process as we decide what our future flag should represent.”The first state flag, adopted on July 6, 1915, was designed by Lucy Derwent after her design was chosen from 35 ...Lion's Choice rewarding loyal customers with free frozen custard

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City residents will be able to speak to representatives from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) this week regarding future road projects. MoDOT has identified $1.1 billion in unfunded projects for 2024. MoDOT will host multiple public meetings over the next few days to get feedback from residents who would be impacted by future road projects.There are three public meetings across Missouri on Tuesday, two on Wednesday and three on Thursday. Brooks Johnson | Star Tribune (TNS)Grocery prices could start falling in 2024, or at least stop rising so rapidly, according to an early forecast from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.That would provide major relief for inflation-weary consumers after the cost of groceries rose 11.4% last year, the biggest annual jump in nearly 50 years.That’s just the most optimistic scenario.
