Kyler Murray’s midseason return to the football field gave the Arizona Cardinals a brief boost of adrenaline.Less than two months later, that feeling is long gone. Now the Cardinals have reverted back to a team that will be quickly forgotten once the 2023 season ends. They’re not very talented, not very deep and not winning a whole lot of games as the regular-season schedule slowly comes to a close. The latest disappointment came on Sunday, when the Cardinals (3-12) fell into a 21-point hole against the Chicago Bears before rallying to cut the deficit to 24-16. The Bears eventually held on for a 27-16 victory. If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because it is. Arizona’s fans might be tired of hearing it, but first-year coach Jonathan Gannon isn’t tired of praising his team’s effort.“Not at all, because it’s the truth,” Gannon said. “I know they fight, I know they battle, I know they prepare the right way. Just got to help them out and we’ve got to c...Despair then delight at Old Trafford as United beats Villa in 1st game after deal. Liverpool top

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Welcome to Manchester United, Jim Ratcliffe. In the space of 90 minutes, and in front of soon-to-be director Dave Brailsford, Old Trafford witnessed the best and worst of Erik ten Hag’s team. Two days after confirmation that British billionaire Ratcliffe will buy a stake of up to 25% in the club, United trailed by two goals inside 26 minutes against Aston Villa and was booed by the home crowd on Tuesday. Ten Hag’s players then produced a spectacular second-half comeback to win 3-2 and spark celebrations rarely seen at its famed stadium during a troubled season so far. “We said ‘Keep going. Believe it, in ourselves.’ That is what I demand from the team,” Ten Hag said afterward. “We said it before the game and during halftime, ‘Keep believing and we will win this game.’” Going into the game on the back of a run of four matches in all competitions without a win or a goal, United took to the field for the first time since Ratcliff...¿Cómo es y dónde queda Eagle Pass? MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — The Miami Dolphins heard the talk all week about their 0-3 record against winning teams entering their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. They couldn’t completely ignore the criticism — social media makes it hard to do that, coach Mike McDaniel said. But he felt his team didn’t let “narratives” become a distraction, and Miami (11-4) finally got over that hump.“Regardless of what people say, you have to get to a mode where you’re solely worried about doing your job and being responsible for that with your teammates,” McDaniel said after Sunday’s 22-20 defeat of the Cowboys. “And anything else, you get distracted and lose focus on what actually matters.”What matters to the playoff-bound Dolphins now is beating two more winning teams: Baltimore on Sunday and then division rival Buffalo in their season finale.Sunday’s victory put the AFC East-leading Dolphins in position to win the division for the first time since 2008 with e...La icónica canción navideña de Mariah Carey sigue en la cima de la popularidad en EEUU
