DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather will turn cooler heading into the weekend with a chance for scattered showers every afternoon through Monday.Weather tonight: Clouds clearing The mountains will see snow showers become lighter and more isolated after 8 p.m. Wednesday. Roads will still be slick in spots overnight.Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s in Denver with clearing skies. DENVER (KDVR) -- After two staff members at Denver East High School were shot by a student Wednesday morning, the Denver Classroom Teachers Association and the Colorado Education Association are calling for action. The Denver Police Department identified the suspect as 17-year-old Austin Lyle, who is a student at the school and was under a safety plan to be patted down each day before entering the school.Questions on safety at the school and the choice to no longer have student resource officers at the school have come into question. The Lynn Police Department says a use-of-force investigation is underway after a police officer was caught on camera repeatedly punching a woman in the face after she allegedly attacked and bit officers during an arrest. In the video, two officers can be seen arresting 39-year-old Jessica Wagle at a rooming house. Police say the video was taken out of context and only captured the final moments of a much longer interaction during which she allegedly kicked and bit them.The video also showed the officers using pepper spray to subdue Wagle, who has a lengthy criminal record, and is now facing charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Fire crews rushed to contain a fire that broke out on a boat on the Mystic River in Somerville on Wednesday.Firefighters could be seen spraying the flames from the dock while another crew in a fire boat worked to keep the fire from spreading to nearby vessels at the Winter Hill Yacht Club on Artisan Way.Witnesses said it appeared the fire broke out in the area of a blue tarp on the back of the boat. The Federal Aviation Administration is cracking down on safety protocols, citing “six serious runway incursions” that occurred since January.These incidents were discussed at a safety summit on March 15, a meeting that followed a “call to action” issued by the acting FAA administrator, “to ensure focus and attention on risks to the aviation system.”“In recent months, a number of notable and high visibility events have occurred in the National Airspace System,” stated the FAA alert issued on Wednesday.“While the overall numbers do not reflect an increase in incidents and occurrences, the potential severity of these events is concerning.”According to the alert, six serious runway incursions have occurred since January, including an incident at John F.
