Saweetie has a Happy Birthday

Published Thu, 20 Feb 2025 04:53:22 GMT

Saweetie has a Happy Birthday: Grammy-nominated rapper Saweetie has released two singles simultaneously — “Shot O’Clock” and, our pick, “Birthday.”“‘Comin’ live on my birthday, spendin’ hundred racks on a new chain,’ Saweetie raps over a pulsing bassline,” reads the press release. “Her collaborators then tackle a verse a piece, each putting their own spin on the swaggering anthem. The final result is the kind of unstoppable club monster that demands people to move.”True enough. And “Birthday” features guest spots by Tyga and YG, both of whom bring the fire. The song essentially sees Saweetie explain how she’s going to be celebrating her birthday, with new chains and going insane, while the fellas explain how they’ll be celebrating with her.“In the track’s suitably slick video, Saweetie serves eye-candy and attitude on her birthday and it’s clear she’s in control,” they s...

Published Thu, 20 Feb 2025 04:53:22 GMT

Gone are the days of using “THC” as shorthand for “delta-9 THC.” Now that scientists can more easily study cannabis plants, we know there are many “THCs” in the hemp plant. And, as the recent surge in demand for delta-8 THC shows, there’s a growing appetite for hemp-based THC alternatives.Although delta-8 is the most prominent THC isomer in today’s hemp market, other THC-related compounds have begun filtering into vape shops. For instance, searches for “delta-10 near me” have skyrocketed in the past few months. Delta-10 THC is similar to delta-8 in many aspects, but delta-10 fans suggest it’s unique enough to deserve a separate category. How Does Delta-10 Compare With Delta-8 THC?Chemically speaking, there’s only one significant difference between the THC cannabinoids delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10. Quick Cook: Eggplant and tomato stew with rosemary polenta recipe

Published Thu, 20 Feb 2025 04:53:22 GMT

This gardener’s harvest meal will make the whole house smell of summer. Pan-fried eggplant, onion and tomato glazed with balsamic reduction ooze flavorful juices atop a pillow of creamy rosemary polenta. I like to top the whole thing with a few sprigs of fried rosemary for some extra color and aroma. The dish is equally delicious using basil in place of rosemary for both the polenta and to top the eggplant. I like the concentrated tomato flavor of dry farmed Early Girls, if you can get your hands on them. Otherwise, you can use a similar sized tomato, such as Roma.Eggplant and Tomato Stew with Rosemary PolentaServes 4INGREDIENTSFor the polenta:3½ cups seasoned vegetable broth1 cup polenta1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary¾ cup shredded ParmesanFor the eggplant and tomato stew:3 tablespoons olive oil1 red onion, thinly sliced1 very large eggplant (~ 1 ½ pounds), chopped into 1-inch cubes2 pounds tomatoes, halved and then quartered1½ teaspoons salt1 tablespoon balsamic reductionF...

Slowing the 49ers’ bandwagon: How the 2023 season could go wrong

SANTA CLARA — Don’t book those Las Vegas reservations yet unless you’re talking about the preseason game at Allegiant Stadium against the Raiders on Aug. 13.Maybe it’s because I covered the Raiders through their 25-year return to Oakland from 1995 through 2019 and am used to seeing teams with grandiose dreams go sideways. It’s hard to fathom things going that far south for the 49ers based on their roster. But given expectations both nationally and locally, going 9-8 or sneaking in as a wild card with a one and done in the playoffs isn’t going to cut it.Some thoughts on potential hiccups that could derail a march to a sixth Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 11 in Sin City after observing the first four non-contact practices as well as Monday’s first padded session at the club facility:No injuries yet — that will changeI can’t remember the last time the 49ers looked this healthy. Players who had trouble staying on the field last season (defen...
