(NEWS10) -- The East Greenbush Central School District rolled out a new program that allows the district to closely track bus ridership and students' locations while they're using district transportation. An ill-prepared hiker who attempted to bushwhack to the summit of a 13er in Chaffee County on Nov. 8 was located and brought down safely by Chaffee County Search and Rescue North after nearly 10 hours, according to a Facebook post. Three high schools throughout the L.A. area were placed on lockdown within 30 minutes due to possible threats on Tuesday. The first call regarding a threat came in just after 11 a.m. at Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, according to law enforcement officials. It is unclear what specific threat or threats were made towards the school, but it was placed on lockdown as deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lost Hills Station conducted a search of the campus. A Hard Rock Hotel is coming to Long Beach, the first full-service hotel to be built in the city within the last 30 years, Hard Rock International and Long Beach city officials announced Tuesday.Construction is set to begin next summer, and the hotel is expected to open in spring 2027.
