Kurtenbach: Draymond Green’s suspension has been a good thing for the Warriors. It might be a good thing for Green, too Draymond Green’s indefinite suspension might have been the best thing to happen to the Warriors this season. And in a twisted way, it might have been the best thing to happen to Green, too. With the forward out of the lineup, Dubs coach Steve Kerr has been forced to play — and trust — the team’s young players, and they have provided both positive energy and positive play. The win over the Celtics was no fluke. Sticking with Denver for all but the final few minutes (blame the altitude… or the refs) can’t be ignored, either. With Brandin Podziemski as a starter, Trayce Jackson-Davis as the team’s center of choice, and Jonathan Kuminga as an offensive focal point, the Warriors won five of their seven games without Green, including five in a row before Christmas. The young Warriors have helped this team find its identity — Golden State is scrappy, smart, and small. It’s reminiscent of the vibe the Warriors found at the end of the 2020-2021 season. This time...

Cardinals limping to the end of a forgettable 2023 season, prepare for trip to Philadelphia Kyler Murray’s midseason return to the football field gave the Arizona Cardinals a brief boost of adrenaline.Less than two months later, that feeling is long gone. Now the Cardinals have reverted back to a team that will be quickly forgotten once the 2023 season ends. They’re not very talented, not very deep and not winning a whole lot of games as the regular-season schedule slowly comes to a close. The latest disappointment came on Sunday, when the Cardinals (3-12) fell into a 21-point hole against the Chicago Bears before rallying to cut the deficit to 24-16. The Bears eventually held on for a 27-16 victory. If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because it is. Arizona’s fans might be tired of hearing it, but first-year coach Jonathan Gannon isn’t tired of praising his team’s effort.“Not at all, because it’s the truth,” Gannon said. “I know they fight, I know they battle, I know they prepare the right way. Just got to help them out and we’ve got to c...

Ten Hag’s players then produced a spectacular second-half comeback to win 3-2 and spark celebrations rarely seen at its famed stadium during a troubled season so far. “We said ‘Keep going. Believe it, in ourselves.’ That is what I demand from the team,” Ten Hag said afterward. “We said it before the game and during halftime, ‘Keep believing and we will win this game.’” Going into the game on the back of a run of four matches in all competitions without a win or a goal, United took to the field for the first time since Ratcliff...
