Police investigate fatal crash in Queensbury

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Law enforcement is investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Wednesday night on Quaker Road. Police say, Nicholas J. Canning, 33, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Preliminary investigations determined that Michael Campbell II, 39, of Granville, was driving eastbound on Quaker Road in a 2018 Ford F-150. Campbell crossed the center lane and struck a 2005 GMC Safari operated by Canning head-on.Police arrested Campbell for driving while intoxicated. A chemical test determined his BAC to be 0.13%. Campbell faces charges of Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Driving While Intoxicated. Man Injured in Traffic Accident near Clark AvenuePOMONA, CA (May 4, 2023) – Late Wednesday night, a woman died and a man was injured in a suspected race crash on Holt Avenue.The incident happened on April 26th, just before 12:00 a.m., when officers from Pomona Police Department were dispatched to the scene for a possible street racing.According to reports, the police found two vehicles, a maroon Honda and a dark blue Dodge Charger, at the location. A witness told the officers that the Honda was traveling past the speed limit and racing with a dark-colored Mustang.
