DA Price files charges in unprovoked Hayward pipe beating (KRON) -- A man is accused of committing an unprovoked attack against an elderly victim who was walking along Whitman Street in Hayward, Alameda County prosecutors said.James Lambert, 23, allegedly stabbed the 81-year-old victim, Francisco Gonzalez, eight times, according to the District Attorney's Office. "Witnesses reported that Lambert stabbed the elderly man eight times in the head and proceeded to strike him with a metal pipe while he lay on the ground," the District Attorney's Office wrote. The August 17 assault was finally halted when an off-duty security guard intervened. Man accused of killing brother during eviction notice in Pembroke Pines A suspect accused of killing his brother at their South Florida home was taken into custody.Officers with the Pembroke Pines Police Department arrived at the home, located at 311 SW 71st Ave. on Monday.According to police, the suspect, 61-year-old Donald Dubray, stabbed his brother, 63-year-old brother Edgar Dubray, to death. When officers arrived at the home, they found Donald sleeping inside. Officials said Edgar was in the process of evicting his brother from the house.
