The Minnesota Twins have announced the new foods at Target Field for this season, and there are some fun new Minnesota-based offerings, including Union Hmong Kitchen and chef Jared Brewington’s Official Fried Chicken.Official Fried Chicken is offering something new besides its bone-in chicken (the only such chicken in a Major League Baseball park) — app-based ordering and pods that keep your food warm until you pick it up! With a 50/50 chance that the Mississippi River will reach major flood stage by mid-April, the city of St. Paul has declared a local flood emergency in advance of anticipated spring flooding. For now, the declaration is mostly procedural, as it empowers the city to mobilize resources in a hurry if waters rise high enough to impact residents and infrastructure.That’s still an “if,” but recent snowfall, ongoing snow melt and future precipitation will likely lead to some “significant spring flooding,” according to a written statement from St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter’s office. The river is expected to crest on April 17.The Mississippi River, currently at about five feet, reaches minor flood stage in downtown St. Paul at 14 feet, moderate flood stage at 15 feet and major flood stage at 17 feet. In 2014 and 2019, it surpassed 20 feet. The female cubs were born on March 23rd and just started opening their eyes last week. On April 5, the park held their daily weigh-in for the media to see. CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis is investigating a homicide that happened late Tuesday evening in Cahokia Heights.According to Lt. Bud Jeremias, deputy commander of the Major Case Squad, Cahokia Heights police were called to the 400 block of North 73rd Street shortly after 11:20 p.m. for a shooting.Police noticed a vehicle parked on Glenwood Avenue with a window shot out. Officers approached the car and found a man in the car with a gunshot wound. ST. LOUIS - Severe weather is pushing east and most threats are starting to clear around the St. Louis region. Southern Missouri dealt with more extreme threats than the St. Louis region. A tornado ripped through Bollinger County, nearly two hours south, and struck the village of Glenallen. Authorities have confirmed multiple fatalities and injuries in that tornado. ST. LOUIS - Several fire departments from the St. Louis area are sending crews to southern Missouri to offer assistance after a deadly tornado. The Kirkwood Fire & Rescue, Union Fire Protection District and Herculaneum Fire Department are among those offering help to Bollinger County. Trending: St. Louis-area April 4 municipal election results The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms there were some deaths and injuries from the tornado, which particularly struck the village of Glenallen, Missouri. FOX 2's Chris Higgins surveyed the area and noticed extensive damages to homes, trees and cars. There area also some ongoing search and rescue operations, and the St. Louis-area fire departments could offer help with those.
